DIY BATH SALTS FOR MOM



As a mom of three, I normally forget and even underrate how bathing can be a powerful thing. Sometimes when the kids aren't feeling well; have a cough or cold, all I think about is my powerful homemade elderberry juice. But a simple task such as bathing can make all the difference too and make us feel better. Baths are awesome for all kinds of minor ailments from colds, coughs, flu, sore muscles and many others. DIY bath salts or normal baths are very simple and affordable too.

HOW TO MAKE BATH SALTS

An eminent all-purpose bath salt or bath comprises of 2 parts Epsom salt, 2 parts salt (this could be Himalayan salt, kosher salt or Celtic salt) and 1 part of baking soda. Don't limit yourself to finding only one type of salt. These salts contain good minerals that when absorbed into the skin, it helps to ease sore muscles and alleviate any tension. Baking soda is added to prevent your bath salt or bath from irritating your skin.


Another addition could be essential oils as they help to improve the healing power of the other ingredients. Essential oils work in many ways; sleep better, relaxation, mental clarity, focus, restore youthfulness and they can relief stuffy nose.


One thing is you can also ditch the salts and use essential oils with a diffuser. I will write a whole post on how to properly use essential oils.
